I'm installing my AAW CU kit in my Chevelle, and everything has been going well. That said, I'm totally confused as to what to do with the purple/white VSS power wire that's part of the engine kit.

On the schematic, it shows the purple/white going to the same fuse block location as the pink 12V ignition wire. In the written instructions, the wire isn't even mentioned. I'll be using a T56 that has a two wire hookup I believe so only a signal and ground are required.

What does everyone do with this wire, or do you not use it at all? The wires came with terminals already attached so I don't believe I'm supposed to cut/crimp them together to share the same fuse block port.

Thanks in advance!!

That purple wire will go from the fuse box to the switch on your t56 and then to the solenoid.

I wired mine to a pressure switch on the clutch line. Bypassed the switch on the transmission.

Where? I only have a VSS plug and the reverse lockout. Sorry, I'm sure I'm over complicating this.....

Purple - ground
Yellow - signal
Purple/white line - VSS power

Purple/Yellow go to tranny or ecm for speed. Correct?

I'm not sure about a t56, but on my t5 there is only 2 plugs on the transmission.

There are many members here with that transmission and that harness. I don't want to give you inncorrect info.

It has been awhile but I remember there are several options on how to wire this and they are described in the documentation.
