Hey All !

I scored a gorgeous Strange HD Pro Aluminum Center ...... Very Excited !

I was wondering if any of you have painted or coated the Alum center to protect its finish??

I hate to leave it "bare" as this is a Street / Weekend Warrior car and sometimes get drove hard and put away wet..... so to speak https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2006/06/lol-1.gif

Thoughts, solutions, first hand experience?

Thanks Guys https://www.pro-touring.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=108173&stc=1

Direct from Strange:

The HD Pro case has no coating and will oxide with time. The material is 206-T4 aluminum and can be clear coated with a hi temp paint coating. Hope this helps.

I use ceramic brake caliper paint to protect aluminum intakes and such. Works very well and looks exactly like cast aluminum.
This is an intake I just put on my 56 wagon. Everything wipes right off including oil and coolant.

You can try RPM from ECS. Works amazing for bare metal parts. http://www.ecsautomotive.com/rpm.php

Some of my Pontiac buddies have used these products on aluminum heads and timing covers.
