Its been over three years and I lurk in the backround on here a lot. I tore my car apart had it Soda blasted, Minitub installed, firewall changed to smooth original, powder coated the stock frame, clearanced the tunnel for the T-56. Built the Original 302 with good parts, scat rods, forged pistons studdded bottum and top end ect. Installed the Fast EZ-EFI 2.0 system which works awesome so far dyno time only. Tig welded together a stainless exhaust. Budnik Famosa Dish Wheels 17 x 7 and 17 x 10' with a 315 rear tire. Willwood 13" front rotors with 6 piston calipers and rear 4 piston calipers and a willwood master and proportioning valve. The car has been at the paint shop for 16 fourty hour weeks but finally is close. Mainly just cut and polishing left. The interior is getting redone at the moment. Its been 35 months more than I thought I would spend on it , $$ and time. Just hope it turns out like how I envision it.

Looking good! Glad to see you used "shiny" wheels as I am so weary of the "black wheel" thing.

Damn That looks sweet!
When I was 15 a Daytona yellow 69 Z28 came by a little green where I used to hang at on Main st. on a Saturday afternoon with the off road cam and open headers with 4:88s and nearly shook my sun glasses off my face, and I was hooked. My first car was a 66 Chevelle SS that I had for 4 months and then I found my Red 69 Z28 and my Camaro addiction began!
You have an Awesome car!
Wow I think I need a cigarette ! :smoke:

Time for reassembly. So far this week I got the EFI back on the motor, fuel lines plumbed to the tank, exhuast in, driveshaft in, brake lines installed. all the mock up is now proving worth while.

The Twister was revolutionary in many ways. Hard to believe that Kyle and Stacie built that car 15 years ago, but it look as relevant today as it did back then.

The Twister was the car that brought me in the pro touring direction. The car looks great.

I like what you've done with your Z28. A nice combination of traditional and modern technology. What kind of dyno numbers did the DZ achieve?

I have owned this car for 16 years now. And with the 302 EFI, 6 speed tremec and big brakes its still fun. I have put more miles on it 2 months than I have in 16 years. I've had a 4 speed 302. Then a high compression 454 with a turbo 400, then a 700HP 540 with a turbo 400. The big blocks were really fun but........ I am getting way more seat time now. I can go 6 hours on a tank of fuel. Its nice not having to worry about running out every 20 minutes like i did with my carburated 540. Just my two cents for someone building a car.
