Hi guys,
some of you may remember the QQ1 blue, white top 68 Charger i used to have that I sold to purchase a 1969 Mach 1 mustang. You then may remember me selling that red mach 1 to get a 1970 Chevy Chevelle, black, SS white stripes, already had the 18" wheels. All in the name of finding the ultimate pro-touring car that is not a camaro.
They are great cars they are just not a Mopar. There are many great gals out there but then you got the one you stick to for life, the one you come home to.
One thing I learned, it is not always about the 'best' handling car. Some times it is just simply about having that car you grew up with loving because you connect with the car in some way. The B-Body charger i grew up loving through dukes of hazard as a kid and fast furious as i got older as it put the car in a real bad-ass light. There is just some feeling i get from the charger that no other muscle car gives, regardless of performance. I even love the idea of Hemi. I learned in a practical sense it does not mean anything. I mean a 700HP hemi or 700HP LS motor. 700 is 700 regardless. But something about that name HEMI is what i love and nothing else will do. I guess its part of that connection i have through childhood.
So im now trying to find a 1968 charger again as that is the car for me.
Hopefully with time Ill have the funds and ability to make it as good as the best running camaros here, if not, well, as said, some things are more valuable than performance.
