Have you gentleman had any experience with power steering driven high output hydroboost applications? We have recently had some inquiries regarding TBM with Hydratech supercharged braking questions lately (so you must be making some waves out in the industry to show up on our radar). Most come to us after they have exhausted every known conventional wisdom with their brake efforts, finding happiness after finally installing our high output hydraulic brake assist systems. It is our experience that enthusiasts CAN have their cake and eat it too, in that they can run a 'hard' long lasting / less brake dusting pad and still accomplish what they need to do in even the most aggressive circumstances they put their vehicles up against.

Paul, thanks for reaching out, it’s nice to know that people are asking about us. We have done a fair amount of work with hydraboost style applications over the years. In fact, a highly boosted system works very well with our calipers because of their inherit rigidity. The issue using a less rigid caliper with the higher line pressure provided by the hydraboost is that the caliper will flex more (in some cases permanent deformation) leading to excessive drag, accelerate piston bore wear and tapered pad wear. Let us know if you want more information or call Jason at 805-987-7867.

You can see some examples of that deformation and abnormal pad wear in these pics. These are NOT TBM Brakes!!

I'm in! I have 14 inch z06 front rotors and calipers (will more than likely replace those calipers). What should I run for the rear rotors? I have a moser full floater axle with plates for bolt on rotors. What size rotor rings should I go with? I was thinking 13's, do you guys offer those? Also need help picking rear calipers and specifically their piston sizes. For master cyl's I have a tilton triple master pedal assembly, I believe I have 7/8 bore for the rear and 3/4 for the front

That's going to require a little discussion. I hate to do this, but can you call us at 805.987.7867?

My rear brakes are going to be coming up on the table for the next thing to be handled soon, planning on calling you guys next week to discuss further but can you give me some preliminary info on what you would suggest? Needing rear rotor rings, calipers and pads. Let me know what other info you will need

We'll want to know things like vehicle weight, percentage street vs track, weight distribution, etc.

I have a question about brake boosters. I have a 65 GTO with a front disc brake conversion using the GM D52 calliper and 10 3/4" rotors. The booster is a single 9" and the master cyl I believe is 1 1/8 bore. Anyways, with my current Hawk HPS pads I don't have enough boost to stop the car comfortably so I'm wondering if upgrading to a dual 8" or dual 9" would help solve that problem? I have 14hg of vacuum at idle, so slightly below what would be considered ideal, but certainly enough.

Thanks

What about brake calipers, pads, and rotors for the 99-06 Silverado/Sierra 1500 series trucks? What are your recommendations with product numbers and description for the best overall braking system for a street/autocross setup.

We can do them but it would be a custom kit. Give us a call and we can discuss it.

Unfortunately, no on both questions.

Cost should be similar to our other calipers.

It may be a couple of months before they're available. We still need to get prototypes built and do some testing both in the lab and on the track/street.
