I haven't posted in the build update section. I will keep my blog up to date which is in my signature. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Here is the jist of it

1964 Dodge Polara "1000"
All aluminum gen3 426 Hemi with Twin 67mm Turbos
Built 4L80 transmission, Moser fabricated 9 inch with wavetrac diff
Tubular front suspension with coil overs
4 link rear suspension with mini tubs
12 Point roll cage, 2x3 sub frame connectors
wilwood disc brakes all the way around
Hydroboost brake boost
Holley Dominator EFI controller, drive by wire, trans controller, traction control
Dash and seats out of a 2013 SRT Challenger
Weld RTS 17 inch wheels with 325 drag radials in the rear and 5 inch up front
Racepak Digital Dash
Fiberglass hood and decklid, fiberglass bumpers, aluminum bumper brackets.
The car should weigh under 3000# before my big butt sits in it :)

A lot of effort when into the paint. Its black on top and jazz blue pearl on the sides. The paint came out even better than I expected.
I should get started putting it back together this weekend

She's gonna be one sweet ride when it's finished Brian. Did you look into the brushed nickel finish for the trim yet?.

I have been looking for the thread. In all honesty I haven't looked very hard yet.....but everyone I share that idea with really likes it. I powder coated the grill and head light bezels gloss black, I may have to get them stripped and do them in nickle too. The car is SO dark, even with the blue on the sides you can't tell it isn't black at 15 ft. Maybe if it were parked in direct sunlight you could.

Thanks

I need to figure out what I am doing for wheels and tires for the street and road course. Those are the drag tires for the car. That's a decision for once the car is put back together though.

I still think brushed or nickel trim is gonna pop best. IMO blacking out the trim and/or grille kills the cars identity. In some cases it works but not on a 64 Dodge.

I've got the car home, it is time to get to cleaning up and reassembly. A little here, a little there and it should be done in no time.108396

Well I dropped the car off yesterday to get a new chromoly cage with a full rear tree. The car is really headed down the path of more pro street than pro touring but that is ok. It should run 8.50's all day, drive there and drive back. One of the things I really wanted to do was run drag week, if it runs 8.50's consistently I should do very well in drag week.

Well the motor is finally together. Awaiting the turbo kit from the fab guy and the air to water intake from 417 motorsports.
