New to the forum have been lurking around checking out some of your posts and decided to go the pro-touring route. Here's the background I was searching the local craigslist and stumbled on this 67 f85107597107598107599. Ended up trading a wasr-10 for it. Rear of the frame looks good
Other than 2 body mounts. The front of the frame needs fixed though I've seen some people add extra bracing to the frame I suppose it's to help with flex so thinking about that also. As for engine I put a lt1 in it but in the spring I'm getting a sbc with a performer rpm top end kit on it so that's going to go in instead. I'll post more pics later of what I have done as of now. Progress has kind of stoped because we moved to a house and I finally have a garage.

Nice. I love these long, low 60's sleds from GM. This is gonna look cool.

Yeah I like it too I really like the look of the rear end. Was always a old's fan. love the look of the 70s front but the 67 grew on me.

So here's some of the things I have done .I've painted the interior to match what the outside will be changed the idot lights to a Mallory tach. Started installing a 25 gallon fuel cell. Decided I'm going to pull the body off to fix the frame the right way. Thanks for looking more pics once I'm done insulating my garage.

That's a sexy old's. And nothing some steel and a welder can't fix.

Exactly 67-F85, DC2x4drvr will tell you my 64 F-85 pro-touring build "Rustbucket" was either a parts car or crusher material. The only thing that kept her with me is that I LOVE 64-65 F-85 post cars and they are hard to find. Few frame pics where the rust out was repaired

Was that just a regular washer or did you make or buy it?

Did a little more work on the 67 pulled the body off and pulled the rear end out looks like the only places that need fixed are about half of the body puck holes and the two spots on the frame by the front body mounts. Then im going to strengthen the frame up. Having trouble posting pics sorry

Yes I bought those at a specialty hardware store, just happen to work. Now that I know more, I would have sourced another frame. They cost next to nothing if can find a good one locally. If I could do it all over I would have chose-64,65 El-Camino-they are heavy duty compared to what I have. When looking at early A-body frames make sure the front and rear frame horns will work with your bumpers, heard 64-65 Buick Skylark will work too but check.
