View Full Version : Seat Recommendations: reclining with slot for sub belt

Am at the point in my project where I need to decide on seats. I want a reclining seat with a slot for sub belt. Whatever I get will be re-upholstered to match the factory color (sandalwood). I'm a wide 5'10" 190 and the seats will be going in a 70 Firebird Formula, 95% street/cruise. What are my options?

I went through the same decision process, and I ended up skipping the sub-belt and instead using the Schroth ASM (anti-submarining technology) harness instead. It's a 4-point that has one of the 2 shoulder belts designed to 'give', allowed the other 3 belts to act like a normal shoulder/lap belt setup. You may want to check out this option:
