Would it be ok to hook up my 12v power lead from my Gear Vendors OD unit to a constant hot wire? I've seem to run out of 12v ignition hot only wires. Only thing that would be on is the LED display on the ECM module. Shouldn't be too much of a drain would it?

I wouldn't... Or at the very least install it through a switch.

Yeah I figured that. Guess I'll splice into one of the IGN wires on the key switch. Thanks again.

Don't know how involved up want to get, but you can route a single switched 12V wire to a relay, then route the relay output to a fused distribution block....I think mine has ten outputs. Gets you all the power you need (and all the fuses) in one place.

^^ that's what I just ordered. Now ill have 10 fused key-on hot wires readily available

How big of a supply wire to you have feeding your switched 12V accessory bussbar? I'd hope at least 8ga if not 4 just because you have 10 circuits at your disposal.

Really good idea. I've got 10ga right now running to my interior distribution block, but I'm still plugging it all in. All the circuits are pretty low amperage--1, 3, etc., but once it's together I'll add it all up to make sure it's not too much and upgrade if necessary.
