I have another thread about my vibration issue I'm having around 60, but I want to know what diameter driveshafts everyone is running with high overdrive trans. I have a 50" that is 3" diameter steel from local ds shop been balanced multiple times, but thinking of going to 3.5 and maybe aluminum. Thoughts

If you are putting out a lot of horsepower, 600+, and if you are doing any autocrossing or open track events, you should consult with a driveshaft expert and I don't mean your local driveshaft shop that has no experience in racing. Steel, aluminum, and carbon fiber all have their place in the world. If you are racing and can afford carbon fiber, I would go with carbon fiber because of the less rotating weight mass. The carbon fiber driveshaft will also help with the vibration problem that most steel driveshafts have and will reduce the lost of horsepower through the drivetrain.
