Hi All,

Its been a while since my last post, due to me being offline nearly all summer.
But I am back again.
I have a question about wheels, in the back of my Chevelle I plan to use 345/35-18 tires on a 18x12" or 18x13" wheel and would like to know how wide it is overall. my guess would be 13,5" or 14"

thanks
André

Hey Andre' , welcome back! You are correct on the width. About 13.6" to be exact. Hey, how is the Porsche brake conversion going? Last I remember you were adapting a 14" Porsche rotor and six-piston caliper to the Chevelle. Any updates?

i dont think you will find any of those tires anymore. they are discountinued from michelin. you can still get them in 19" s i think. if you find any 18"s let me know i need a set.

Hi,
Thanks for the answers, I have not bought the tires yet but there are some sets for sale on ebay in germany, discontinued ? I hope I can find some because I really dont want to go with 19" wheels, what are the alternatives in 18"? 335s? 355s? another brand?

An update on the car.
The Porsche Cayenne/Audi RS4 brakes are on the vette spindles and ready to be put on the car.
The front part of the frame is mostly done, that means that the vette suspension is in and that I'm only missing the coilover mounts and the swaybar mounts to be done.
As for the rear part of the frame, I have put a crossmember in and cut the framerails right behind that.
the rails are mocked up and after some more measuring they will be ready for some welding, and some brackets and a coilover crossmember and and and.
still a lot of work.
