I have a '68 Camaro I built as a "restomod" (that's what they called these kinds of builds before it was called "pro-touring") back in the mid-90's using PST front suspension rebuild kit with poly bushings all around including body mounts, Eibach springs up front with 2" drop, weld-in subframe connectors, solid anti-roll bar up front, multi-leaf springs with poly bushings (can't recall spring rate...I'll look for old receipt and get that info if it'll help but I think they came from PST also), South Side Machine Lift Bars, KYB Gas-a-just shocks, factory front disks and an aftermarket rear disk kit that uses 11" rotors. The car already had a Saginaw quick ratio steering box when I got it. I did a good bit of tracking with the car (all NASA HPDE events) and it really could hold its own against cars with much more modern suspension tech. I will add that I started out using a rear anti-roll bar but quickly realized the rear end was too stiff with it and the lift bars and once I removed it the car became much better balanced. A divorce back in '08 forced me to park the car and only now am I able to get it back up and running. I've done an engine swap (350 to 383) and also wish to update the suspension a bit if there is any new tech that has come along that doesn't require major surgery. One thing I'm considering is ditching the lift bars as I feel they make rear suspension compliance too stiff as the car is easily upset when going through corners with uneven/bumpy surface. Many have told me Cal-Tracs would be a better option so I'm checking with you guys to see if that would be a move in the right direction or is there something else I should consider?

Thanks,
Michael
