2nd gen camaro peeps who converted power to manual.?????

i just want some feedback on people who have done a power to manual steering convertion. either using a 85' ish s10 or aftermarket box. even manual rack n pinion.

i have a 81 camaro and i dont really care for the saginaw pumps always leak. and i do go to drag my car sometimes and a few horses more would be nice but is it worth it for street ability. i am wanting all and any input before i go off and drop money and not like it.

I put a '89 S-10 box on my 79 . Bolt in used the same pitman arm as the PS box. There is more effort as you would expect and more turns lock to lock. It is tight in center but as you get off center it feels like there is some slop-box manufacturer told me that is the way the gears are. Not sure I believe that but OK. Lares box from Autozone.
