Hi.
Anybody know any glaring issues I might have from buying an LS3/T56 pullout from a 2010 Camaro and stuffing that in a second Gen Firebird?
Or a LS2/T56 from a GTO?
Any parts I would have to modify besides engine mounts?
Is this a known good swap?
Are the holley swap mounts good for this without having to cut the tunnel?

2010 camaro Trans is a tr 6060 doesn't take a slip yoke and has a shifter that is placed way back making it hard to get a correct shifter location. If you could get the ls3 with the gto t56 that would be better as the gto t56 is easier to swap in. Also if you use the holley stuff everything should fit like a glove

If the LS3/TR6060 is a good deal, I wouldn't let that hold you back. I think you can relocate the shifter pretty easily to the top mount position. I'd probably have a new driveshaft made to accomodate the extra power anyways, so a good company can make one to fit the TR6060 up front, and whatever rear you have.

***Edit***
I just googled it to make sure I wasn't talking out my ass. Here's the first link that popped up, it's an LS3/6060 in a '68 Camaro. Used a McLeod shifter, and has a link to the custom driveshaft. I didn't read through the whole thread to see what issues may have popped up though.

Use the fbody pan and accesories, mine worked perfect with the car shop inc plates, stainless works headers, and a hooker t56 crossmember, only thing that ihad to do is trim the plastic piece in back of alternator.

I used a 2010 pull out for mine. I swapped the pan to a Pacific Fab pan, used Stainless Works headers and the mounts they provided. I sold the TR606 and used my T56 Mag with a Quicktime bell. I also used all the factory accessories and a LSbrackets.com relocation bracket. My PS pump was having issue with the steering box so I have Lee Manufacturing rebuild it and setup the correct pressure/volume. Overall I'm happy with the setup.
