Hello Everyone,

This is the official release of my billet side view mirror production model. I designed this mirror with the goal of mixing style, elegance and functionality. Using 6061-T6 aluminum we crafted this mirror to out perform any original factory mirror with the amount of articulation, style and with the ability to tighten the tension on the pivot ball. You will no longer need to readjust your mirrors after shutting your door or when you drive faster that 30 mph. This mirror will fit almost anything and is designed to adapt to any car with a stock mounting hole distance of 1 1/2"-2 1/2" between the factory door holes. The Billet Rides Mirror was crafted to eliminate your factory mounting brackets while utilizing your factory door holes. All of the mounting holes for the 67-69 Firebird/Camaro, 64-72 GTO/LeMans/Tempast, 64-72 Chevelle/El Camino/Malibu and 63-65 Nova were analyzed for fitment. After machining, these mirrors are polished to a perfect finish. Black anodized models will be available soon for an additional fee.

Pricing of the mirrors are $250 each for polished and $270 each for Black anodized models (currently unavailable but can be reserved with my available stock). These are the finest billet mirrors available today!!! I ordered a small initial quantity to test the market and I am already selling out fast. Please let me know your thoughts and if any of you would like to order a pair soon.

Thanks,

Doug Baril

Automd sorry for any confusion. The mirrors are $250 each or $500 for the pair plus shipping. These mirrors very expensive to produce but are well worth the price. Pictures really do not do them justice.

Hello
I was wondering if all the cap screws are for looks or are they a multi piece design?Looks like a nice piece just would not want all the screws up the base.

Wow these would look sweet on TechNova I can see you payed a lot of attention to detail. Do you have any pictures of them mounted. Pictures of the bottom base? I need a set if these! Any thoughts on a similar style center rear view mirror?

They are beautiful, but there is no way I am dropping $500 for a pair of mirrors. And I am not usually a cheap guy, but this is a little too far out there for me.

Good luck though….

I agree these are nice looking and I wouldn't mind spending some good money for sweet mirrors. But truthfully those wholes that are for looks is the only true feature that changes besides the fact that they are built from billet and accent wholes they are pretty much stock looking. If they were priced right then I believe they might sell but at $500 it's tough to justify the cost just because they cost a lot to machine and reason being is that the less you machine the more it will cost and vice versa. So machining a few and passing along the extra cost because of it doesn't truly give you the true pricing of them and it would be nice to have the option of jus having them without the accent wholes that don't appeal to all builds. Again nice and I hope they sell good luck and not trying to offend anyone or trying to knock your sweet mirrors

I agree with a couple posts about the screw heads. The ones that would bother me most are the ones down the post especially as I dont see how they are functional but i also dont know how these were built. I agree they do look nice and the black version sounds awesome but the price is pretty steep for semi-stock looking mirrors just with several screws. I personally have seen many parts like rims etc manufactured in this style of all metal with the screw head accents and they tend to be a common area for water to sit because its hard to get out and then it just starts turning orange and rusting. I would personally save the couple extra bucks and get the original bowtie version. They do look pretty nice and shiny though. Goodluck.

Are the non-functional holes by chance construction holes needed for the machining process (for mounting in fixtures)?

Thanks for all of the responses to my thread guys. These mirrors were designed to mimic the design of an original GM mirror but with today's styling and billet machining. The only fasteners that are not functional are the ones that run up the spine, all others are required. I may look into creating a batch without those additional fasteners if I get enough inquiries or pre-orders. The design inspiration was from the Ring Brothers door handles which includes fasteners on the leading edge. As a start up business you have to pick somewhere to start, I chose to include the fasteners up the spine due to the added design that it brings. You never know what the public opinion is going to be until you put something out there and so far the positive response has been overwhelming. As far as pricing goes, Ring Brothers sells a set of stock appearing door handles for $350 polished and it only has 3 or 4 machined pieces. These mirrors require 6 different machined items, twice the amount of materiel to create, a significant time to polish and assemble as well as special cut glass. The current price is extremely reasonable when you look at what's required to create them and when compared other high quality billet pieces on the market. If anyone has any additional questions please feel free to reach out to me.

All though I'm not yet in the market for mirrors I got to say I like them a lot and feel you did a great job of keeping the original design in mind and just updating it today's standards. I for one like the the bolts going up it, that's one of the things that grabs your attention to show that there not quite original.

I personally like the fasteners incorporated into the total design. I'd buy these if they would work for my car, but late 2nd gens need the stock bullet mirrors.
