Hey guys, I'm not really sure if this will cause any problems and wanted to see what you guys think. I have Wilwood 4 wheel disks and as I'm building the car I want to just have the front brakes hooked up as I put the car back together. The guy who is installing the exhaust wants to start the car and I want to make sure I have some brakes. I'm not going to drive the car like this and the reason I don't want to hook the rear brakes up yet is I will need to remove the rear end when I weld in the subframe connector, which will be the last thing I do on the car. This will be after the car is all put together. Is it alright to just cap the rear brake line where the flexible brake line goes to the rear end? Will this cause any harm to the master cylinder if I do this?
Thanks,

You can cap it. Won't hurt anything.

Not a problem...but you should probably stay off of the interstates. LOL

Thanks 69L48Z27 and Rich, this will only be temporary and the car won't be leaving the garage with this setup.

No problem in doing that. We do the same thing here while cars in build mode so we can still move them safely.

Thanks Walt for the reply back. Yeah, I'm in the build phase and I'm getting ready to fire up the engine and would feel very nervous about not having brakes especially with a stick shift.
