I just bought a 69 Camaro project from a friend that has stalled and I want to finish it.....it has a tci front clip and a ridetech rear bolt in 4 link. the whole car is air ride. 502 bbc with a 700r and I would like to have the stance of the pro touring cars. I like the wide rear tires with a deep dish wheel, but this car has a 94 trans am rear with positive offset wheels. I know I need mini tubs but what rear end type and width do I go with to get the big tires in the back. this is a weekend cruiser no track time just a rodrun hangout type of car. I need ideas and where to get mini tubs and a rear end. not trying to be cheap but not looking for racing car specs just good street fun...........thanks for any and all advice you all can give. tony

You can get the minitubs from Detroit Speed. I believe the "standard" rear end width for a minitub is 55 inches. You can order one from Moser or any other rear end supplier. You might need the offset arms for the Ridetech 4 bar if you go minitub and wider tires.

seems like kind of a waste to loose what you already have. how much wider is the t/a rear end? can you get some pics so we can see what your talking about? could be as simple as a wheel backspace.

yea I know I could use a wheel with all backspace but I really liked the deep dish look and I didn't know how good the trans am rear end would be. that would be much cheaper if I can be happy with back wheels looking like front wheels ( as far as dish goes) could be better to do for now can always change later......

I think its a stock 94 trans am rear
