hello guys/gals,

I searched through some old posts and came up with noting. Has any one came up with a solution to making the heidts kit(69 camaro) work with DSE tubs. I wouldnt mind modifying the brackets, so this wouldnt be an issue. I do know the frame backet will need to be sectioned and made smaller to fit. My mine focas would be, to what extent would the top link bar bracket need to be modified to fit after the mini tubs are installed? I Considered contacting heidts and just pick up another set of brackets and weld it a few inches inboard to the original brackets. This would relocate the top link bar. I know this might throw off the suspension geometry. I also thought about just trying to sell off my heidts kit and order a DSE quadralink kit but the price is way different for a 9 inch housing. Both kits are parallel 4 link kits right? Would it really change everything relocating the top link bar inboard to mimick a DSE setup so deep tubs can be installed with no issues? I also was saddened to find out the DSE doesnt offer a Military discount of any kind. I was alittle taken back by that ,most companies do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would contact Randy Johnson at D&Z Customs since he's likely had experience with Heidts and mini tubs.

I just put Detroit tubs in a 68 Camaro with the heidts 4 link kit The brackets needed a little modifying I didn't have to narrow the tube on the back when it was all done I had room for a 11" wide rim if I would have changed the short 4-link bracket I could have got a 12" wide rim in the car.
