New to hotrod so bare with me. I have a 1970 fastback and bought a helix four link, Im sending it back due to many problems with the kit. I have installed the Detriot mini tube kit and will be shortening my rear housing to take advantage of the added space. Looking for help on best setup of the rear end.as far as 3 link, 4 link. Cant afford IRS so no need to talk about it. A, does a four link work for " pro touring" ? Or is three link better. Looking at Martz four link right now since it mounts on the inside of the frame rails and allows for max use of mini tube space. Tires will be 335 × 30 ×18, wilwood 14 inch four piston in the rear. Wilwood 14 inch 6 piston on the front. Chassy and brakes are my first priority, any thoughts would be great.

There are 2 "4-links" - Parallel and triangulated. Triangulated is more pro-touring, parallel is more drag racing.

There are pros and cons of 3 links and 4 links, just depends on what you're doing with the car. We use triangulated 4 links on our chassis because they're a simple proven design, and there's more space to work with. The 3 link with a panhard bar requires some type of torque arm or a link to keep the rear end from twisting. This causes space constraints for exhaust. Tri-4 links don't take up a ton of space.

I would stay away from the Martz stuff, probably about the same quality level as the Helix you're sending back. From my own personal experience both Ridetech and DSE make quality 4-links
