Just curious here...
I have a slight paranoia about car theft, probably because my car has been a theft recovery TWICE in its lifetime. Does anyone here have a GPS tracker for their rides? Just seeing whats out there. I think it'd be cool to have incorporated with a mobile app too

Also interested in this I know lowjack has a system for classic cars but it has mixed reviews.

How about putting a phone with a exernal battery hidden with gps locator system? Even if they disconnect the battery you have the phone battery plus the external that was fully charged before they disconnected the car battery.

I thought about the extra phone but I could see the phone somehow shutting off and being useless. I feel like I reset my phone once a week, ya know?

Viper had a GPS tracking function in one of the newer remote entry / remote start units. It seems like there is a monitoring fee that you have to pay but it gives you mobile phone functions as well as tracking.

Viper smart start GPS here...
I get a text on my phone if the alarm goes off or if it leaves a user-determined area. You can also check gps location from your phone

I would definitely install a LoJack System with Early Warning and Viper with the 2-Way Display Fob and add the Smart Start Option. I was told that the monthly charge is about 5-6 dollars a month. Go to their website and checkout the features. In my opinion, both systems is well worth the cost if you pride your ride like I do mine.
