As some of you know I now have a 2nd gen firebird.. 70 to be exact.. and I did my usual heavy searches on what people put on these from here to lat-g to transamcountry etc...

but the only person I heard rolling on 19s is Swartzperformance and he didnt have pics.

I felt 18s are the best size for sure BUT my artist eye says they are a TINY bit small.. ill probably do 18s with more meat but just to check off what 19s are like sizewise please post up!

Ill also take 2nd gen camaros but some may notice that the 2nd gens wheel openings are VERY different..

so yea.. please?

Look up the blackbird build by speedtech. I am running 19's but my wheels are being cut still.

The Camaros have a smaller wheel well than the TA's, so your artist eye is correct!

no pics in the searched threads on the forums, Dale.. not your site.. just stating what I found on my forum searches only.. so yea.. no pics in the threads brother.. but thank you for poppin them on here with links!

and you know what... my artist eye is saying that the 19s look better to the bodys size!

this car isnt going to be an autox car.. just a cruiser.. so 19s might be the move!

I am with you Vengeance. These cars need 19's. If I really like auto x, I may get a second set of wheels and would go 18's just for tire availability and price.

where are the pictures and updates of your 2nd gen firebird? I am currently building a 71 trans am clone. I am putting 18's all around. I agree that firebirds have bigger wheel wells, i just wish there were more options for taller performance tires. it stinks we have to buy rubber bands when we can fit a lot more.

Man, that's sittin mighty low up front MR. V, still have inner fenders? I'm putting 18's on mine this time but I'm with ya that 19's fill the wheel openings better for looks.

youd think so right?... but.. as rumor would have it.. NO SCRUBBIN!.. of course I dailed in my camber and adjusted tire size to be right at it.. and yep there is inner fenders.

ill raise it a bit if I go 19s.. and now im wondering how wide I can get up front.. im wondering if I can pull of a 9.5
