For those of you not familiar, the LQ4 and LQ9 are the iron block versions of the LS2 engine used in trucks. They are the ONLY choice for engine builders going over 700 hp as they are much stronger than the aluminum block of the LS2. That said, the whole engine even with an iron block still weighs significantly less than a small block chevy.

What we have here is a custom engine that the only thing stock is the crank, and that was meticulously prepped and chamfered. The rest is built from parts designed by aftermarket companies that make the best, with the superb All Pro cathedral port heads heavily worked to top it all off.

If you wanted to change the cam and springs to a snotty N/A version the engine alone without boost would have no trouble making 650 hp, but with the cam designed for boost in there now its quite street and neighborhood friendly...and showed what it could do on the dyno

This 6.0 LQ4 based LS engine was built by Pfeiffer's Engine Specialist in Freeport , IL not in someone's garage. It has less than 1000 miles including break in miles. 1 track pass. Only ran Brad Penn oil. Dyno tuned on E-85 with a conservative boost tune and made a bit over 1000 hp at the crank. Can handle more, but this is what the goal was at present to be safe. It was built to handle 1200+ hp under boost and had less than 1000 miles on it and one drag strip pass. The trans am it was in lost a wheel while the owner was cruising to the store with his little boy and side swiped a telephone pole. He had forgotten to torque the nuts down after getting the car back from the shop. It wasn't worth rebuilding in his mind and the owner purchased a Nissan GT-R.

I bought it, but now I have two 1200 hp capable turbo engines and don't need both. So seeing which sells first.

THERE IS NO HOT SIDE BUILT, and you will need your own water pump and accessory drive setup. That stuff very much depends on what car you are putting it in. Forward facing turbo headers are available on ebay and so are the pipe kits. I will try to get pictures up soon, but this engine was built for go, and the effort I put into the other engine listed here as far as polishing and pretty things has not yet been done. It is all clean and fresh but not beautified.

1) $11,500 for everything. Or if you have your own turbo(s), wastegates, etc we can pull those from the package.

2) If you are interested in the whole package I will do "financing" in a sense. Half down now, the other half due in 90 days and you can then pick it up or have me ship it. Merry Xmas and Happy Hannukah, Kwanza, etc!

3) Looking for an interesting roller project that needs a drivetrain. GTO, lemans conv, firebird, wagon...just throwing ideas out. Doesnt have to be a pontiac even. lol I have another nice lower HP engine and nothing to put it in. One caveat is I really don't want something needing a lot of bodywork unless it is some rare high dollar piece. I don't mind if it needs paint. Please be realistic if you throw a project my way. Just like I have to be realistic that I cannot get everything I have in this engine back out. So market value of what you have set against the engine, and we can discuss what we think that may be.

I have two 1200 hp engines and only one car built for this.

Lowering the price to $10,500, or $8700 without the turbo related stuff.

Also still looking for a nice rolling chassis as mentioned above, or would also consider firearms, motorcycles, Cummins truck or other things of value. Could be full or partial trade.

I see some engine builders charge $50,000 plus for older style BBC turbocharged engines making 1000+ hp. Wow This one made 1000+ on the dyno and was built to handle in the 1200 range by simply turning up the boost. It was tuned at right around 1000 to go easy on it, and weighs a lot less than a big block chevy.

Still willing to hold it for a short time with half down or consider trades as mentioned above, and might include Cummins trucks or motorcycles as well. Should be able to get some pics up here shortly, after I move the stuff in front of it. Its been too freakin cold to do anything in the garage until now. lol
