I put my PT'd '70 Nova in the car show of today's Super Chevy show at National Trails Raceway in Columbus (going back tomorrow as well). It was a crappy day for a car show/drag race as it rained early on and was overcast, windy and cold the remainder of the day (in the mid-50s). During the awards ceremony I was SHOCKED to hear my name called for a Top 10 Editor's Choice award!! They took photos of all 10 winners and our cars should appear in a future Super Chevy edition.

Sorry for the SC plug Steve, but well ya know.......... :icon_razz

You won an editor's choice with that POS? Must be editors of Martha Stewart Living Magazine.

I TOLD YOU it could be in a magazine! :)

Congratulations, your car is awsome. Well now that you proved it at a car show you need to get it ready for the road course.

Thanks! I'm hoping to get it ready for some auto-x events next year. I live very close to Mid-Ohio, I'd LOVE to take her out there some day.....

Thanks to everyone for all the koodos!

I went back to Super Chevy today and received a runner-up in the '68-newer modified division as well. All-in-all it was a good weekend for the Nova. It's nice to be recognized for all the hard work and $$$.

Not to steal your thunder Dan but at Super Chevy Gainsville I got a Outstanding award. I was not there to recieve the award so my friend got it for me.

I think I have told you a bunch of times but I'll say it again, your car looks so nice. It is kinda swaying me towards torq thrust wheels ( I would have to paint them black).

Congrats on the award Dan.

I have also been fortunate enough to have received 2 of them myself at the Denver SCS over the years.

When my name was called on those Saturdays, I basically floated up to the stage to get it, I was so blown away.

Here is how it appeared in the magazine once.

Thanks. Right now my plan is to make the car look like that but without the stripes. But I am good friends with a guy that owns a vinyl decal shop so I might try the stripes.:dunno:
