I have been building a 66 Buick skylark, dark met blue, loud and fast. Currently it has 14" olds wheels. Im installing a stage 4 UMI suspension kit, as well as 4 wheel disk brakes. The kit features 2 in drop springs, and coil overs in the front to allow up to 3in more drop. I'm thinking I'll go with 17x8 and 17x10. I like the wide tire in the back look, all tucked in and low. I just can't decide on the wheel. I have $1800 set aside for wheels and tires. I scanned all the pics on here, all forgeline and way too expensive. So on my budget what kind of wheel would you buy? I could use some ideas, I've been building this car for 10 years, this is the first I've ever done anything close to pro touring. I have over 4k just in the suspension, I'd hate for it to look like crap when I pull it out of the garage because I bought the wrong wheel. My fallback is torque thrust 2, but everyone has those.

Joey I'm in the same boat...I don't have 1000$ to spend per rim but I've set aside 2000$...I'll be hanging on this post to see if something comes up...good luck

Yeah, it'd be nice to hear some success stories for wheel and tire combos under 2k.

Wheels are 18x8 with 4.5 BS and 18x10 with 5.5 BS on a 4 3/4 pattern.
$700+ shipping. I have no idea what shipping would be. They are polished aluminum. But they need some serious polishing lol. I'll polish them up this weekend and post pics.

Wheels are in Harlingen TX. I can see Mexico from here lol

Here is a cool wheel that might fit the bill for you and would be in the price range. It would allow you to splurge a bit on the tires too.

Sorry about the large image. Tried to make it a bit smaller, but was having trouble. At least it is not too small.
