I'm currently fabing up my brackets to bolt my 13" C5 Vette dual pison calipers and rotor's on my 69 Chevelle and I know Kore 3 makes their brackets 5/8" thick but just how think do they need to be? I have made a template from 3/8"x3" stl flatbar and wandering if 1/2" woud be thick enough.. Any suggestions? Also what do ya'll think about this brake setup Astro Van hydroboost, 98 f-body master cyl, 13" C5 Vette rotors/calipers up front and 11" Ford Exporer discs out back with a Wiwood distribution block with built in bias valve..

Even 3/8 is thick enough- I think I made 1/4" for my personal car several years back, haven't had issues with deflection.

Out of curiosity are those stock disc's turned down to be hubs or is that a drum brake hub?

Those appear to be turned down drum hubs.

FWIW, the KORE3 brackets are actually 1/2" thick, but we have a lot of front kits that use 3/8" plate as well. Ultimately, it isn't really a strength issue, but rather one of acceptable deflection that determines failure by our standards, so that's what we design towards.

Do you have a template for the C5-to-Abody bracket? I need to fit C5 calipers on the front of my Olds 442 project. Thanks!
