There is a God, I say this because I found this forum! First time poster, first time auto restorer. This is the first car I built, and I'm still building it. It's a 1966 Buick Skylark 350/350 chevy. I am purchasing a UMI Performance stage 4 suspension kit, includes tubular A- arms, coil over's and lowering springs. I really want the car to have a pro tour stance, and I plan to use 17x8 and 17x9 rims. I am also converting to 4 wheel disk brakes. About 6k is getting spent tomorrow!

I need a little help on:

Spring rate. They offer 450lb for cruise, small block and 550lb for handling small block and all big blocks. I have a chevy 350 with iron heads and am considering using the 450lb springs.

Lowering. Automatically I'm like 2" baby, but if I go with 2" in the front, 1" in the back I think I'll have a little more acreage to play with in the wheel well, plus a little rake isn't all too bad. Alot of rake and now I'm Joe Dirt. Attached is 2 examples of what I'd like to achieve, the picture of the blue skylark is my car in it's current state. Any advice would help, thanks!

Also forgot to ask, I'm going to sell all the suspension stuff I pull off the car, 4 wheel drums, a-arms, springs, steering...etc. Any idea what that stuff would go for? It's all in decent shape
