It looks like most of the Vette Brake swaps onto a GM A-body work around a drum hub that is machined down to let the rotor install flush . What if you don't have drum hubs on the front but have disk brakes that you want to upgrade to the Vette c5 or c6 brakes ? Do you have to swap a drum hub back in or is there another solution ?

Just order hub from kore3. Simple, better part, and look better.

If you purchase a complete kit from Tobin at KORE 3, I believe the kit comes with billet hub assemblies in both C5 or C6 versions that fit on to your existing short or tall GM spindle . I have been looking very closely at doing the 355mm C6/Z06 swap on my GA. Call Tobin at KORE 3. He is very helpful.

The problem I have with that is that by the time I spend all the money to do a complete Kore3 Vette brake swap with Hub I could just order a set of Wilwoods that will actually fit behind the wheels I already own without having to ad a spacer . The only thing the Vette swap really has going for it (In my opinion) is that it can be done less expensively using some of the factory A body parts and if its your sole means of transport the fact that you can buy parts for it at Autozone .

Cpp sells a drum hub for 50 bucks thats already under the 6" diameter but the bearings and studs are worthless. Chineese bearings and studs are too short. Expect to spend another 50-70 bucks on that stuff.

If you can handle the extra offset you could do like the third gen guys do and cut down a set of stock one-piece rotors for your Chevelle into a bearing hub. Any shop with a brake lathe can do this for you pretty easily. Only down side other than the offset is that you lose the hubcentric mount area for the wheel. The slip on rotor will use up what is there stock on the original rotor / bearing hub. If you are running aftermarket wheels it is no big deal as most don't use it anyway.
