View Full Version : Turn Signals Don't Blink

I just replaced the bulbs in the front facing turn signals (1157NA) of my 1981 Camaro. I think the originals were clear or they could have been faded.
After I installed and tested them they turn on but they don't blink.
Any ideas why?
Isn't the flashing component connected to the fuse box?
I saw no noticeable rust or corrosion in the bulb socket.

Your flasher could be bad or there's a short/ground issue somewhere perhaps.
It's a silver cylinder on the fuse box, pretty easy to spot. They're a few bucks at the parts store.

Thanks for the reply. I will check the grounds then replace the cylinder.
It is just strange how 1 second it worked and now it does not.
It could be the ground too. I had to fight with the bulb to remove it. Maybe I pulled a wire out or something.

Just an update, the flasher was the problem.
Thanks for the help.

If you run low on blinker fluid ... we're running a special for $19.99 a gallon. :)

Ron, do you by any chance carry the muffler bearings for my '68 Camaro?

Oh Carl, Carl, Carl ...
You know we do!
Do you want yours in the double roller, angular contact or micro polished ceramic models?
