I was just about to post it if nobody else did.

If you think you can handle an 800 plus horse 4 wheel drive any better, have at it.

That's funny, I just posted this on TeamCamaro. I heard the interview with him on Sirius XM today, but I had to wait and watch it on the big screen. I knew the iPhone wouldn't do it justice.

Pure awesome.

The bad thing is, not only does he get to play like that, he gets paid for it! Yeah, I saw it earlier today when my son showed it to me. Man, I'd ride with him..

If I could be a "car celebrity" for a day, he would be pretty high on my list of people to be.

AWD 800+ hp. He said the driving was meant to be a lot less precise in this video. More of a "How would you drive if the cops shut the city down for you." He said the city and the film crew did an amazing job of picking off hours (ie Sat. am in the financial district, Sun am in the HOV lane).

He also said it was the only film ever shot on that Hollywood sign access road. Apparently there's a lot of homeland Security stuff up there, and the film crew was warned not to film in certain directions or they may be shot by the police!

The best part was the White Ford Bronco part... :D

Very cool! Most impressive was that in some scenes there were no tire marks from previous takes.

Permits for that type of a film shoot are not cheap. They usually run into thousands and thousands of dollars for the cops and other City/State personnel on overtime pay.

Not sure if that's sarcasm or not...but in the interview he said he broke his trans (lost 3rd gear), so they only got one take on some parts of the vid.

For the one they shot in San Fran the production company paid an extra 1 million dollars above the permit costs to film. I'm sure it was the same case for LA. Great video, but also great producing!

It was over 5.5 million views at 24 hours. I wonder how much Monster, DC, and Pirelli reap off of this? Kudos to him for combining his business and passion. He has really come into his own as a rallycross driver too.

Does anyone know what transmission and shifter he used in the Mustang. I can see in the vid it is a sequencel shift.

Does anyone know what transmission and shifter he used in the Mustang. I can see in the vid it is a paddle shift just wondering about the rest of the system.

Over the torque capacity. No wonder he broke it.

It's kinda cool that Randy's Donuts now has a couple of donuts around the building

Agreed! The tire marks are one of the few things I dislike in the videos.

And the OJ Bronco was indeed brilliant.

Hey Larry,
Any chance of getting Ken Block as a future guest on a pod cast? It would be interesting to hear the back story on this car and video.

I was wondering the same thing. It being a one off, there's got to be something out there about it.

I found this, its no build thread. It is cool though. http://www.speedhunters.com/2014/11/gymkhana-superstar-the-hoonicorn-rtr-exposed/
