Hey all,

Like the subject states I am hoping to gather some advice on lowering my 67 Camaro a tad more. When I bought the car it was setup in order to fit a MT Drag Radial under the car. I am more for the street driving and would love to lower this thing a little. I am running QA-1 Coil Overs in the front so I could lower the car to match the ride height once I figure out the back.

I guess my question is I would like to keep my same setup as it seems to drive pretty well but would like to lower the car another inch or two in the rear. Please see photo below:

I am running QA-1 rear shocks with Monoleaf Springs and Slide-A-Link. Please excuse the Newb questions but I guess thats why everyone comes to this forum. Its been a wealth of knowledge for me.

So.. can anyone suggest the best way through this. Lowering Blocks? Can I run a lowering block with a monoleaf setup and still keep Slide link? Can anyone make some suggestions. Here are a couple photos of the rear suspension as it is now.

Thanks in advance, the help is always valued and appreciated.

Your best option on a budget is new drop leafs. The best option if the budget is a little bigger would be a bolt in 4 link with coil overs.

There are several options out there, let me know if I can help.

quick and dirty way is lowering blocks....next like Matt says, lowering leafs, after that its a 4link from RideTech, DSE, Alston, TCI, or even torque arms from Speedtech, UMI, and so on, first you need to decide what you want to do with the car and then have a realistic budget, blocks are cheap 70 bucks for good billet ones with oversized U-bolts, and after that the skys the limit

Are you just wanting to lower the car without improving the handling? Install lowering blocks. If you want to lower the car and also improve it's handling then look at some of the bolt in 4 links mentioned above.

I agree, a 4 link like Ride Tech will improve the ride & handling. Your fronts may not lower as much as you think, check it out & see how much adjustment is left. 1/2" of threads = 1" of drop.

If only I could promote Ridetech 4 links on here as openly as the public! I would tell the same things, as I have been told by my users hundreds of times!

I do sell and promote other brands I fully believe in, each seems to have it's place and each customer has their taste, it's a great time to be building a muscle car!
