I was waiting for someone to catch that.
The engine along with information and pricing will be released at SEMA this year.
Out of respect I won't go into details here considering we are not an actual sponsor at this time.

I couldn't help myself....
Kevin of W2W went down to Florida, he was looking for a car to steal.
He was in a bind 'cos he(the devil)was way behind: he was rushin’ to make the deal.
When he came across this young man sawin' on a Pontiac and makin' it hot.
And the devil jumped upon a shop stool and said: "Boy let me tell you what:
"I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a car builder too.
"And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you.
"Now you run a pretty good builder, ol boy, but give W2W their due:
"I bet my Nova of mold against own, 'cos I think I'm quicker than you."
The boy said: "My name's Kevin to and it might be a win,
"But I'll take your bet, your gonna regret, 'cos I'm faster than that's ever been."
Kevin warm up your motor and race your f-body hard.
'Cos the devil my brake loose in Florida or the Nova may hook up hard.
And if I win I’ll get his dingy Nova made of mold.
But if I lose, the devil gets my car.
The devil opened up his trailer and he said: "I'll start this show."
And fire flew from his exaust tips as he revved up his stock motor?.
And he pulled the car into the lane and it made an evil hiss.
Then a stab of the gas and the smoke started to pour, I started to think holy ****.
When the devil finished, Kevin said: "Well you're pretty good ol' son.
"But if you'll sit down in that seat, right there, and let me show you how its done."
Fire up those engines, run boys, run.
The devil's in the land of the startin gun.
Devil in the left hand, Kevin in the right hand.
"Kevin, will your tires bite?"
"God I hope so!"
Then Kevin bowed his head because he knew that he'd been beat.
He laid the keys to that Firebird on the ground at the devil’s feet.
The Devil said: "Kevin just come on back if you ever want to try again.
"I told you once, you dumb young gun, I'm the baddest six cylinder that's ever been."
As he prayed to fire up the motor, and run boy, run.
The devil's in the winnin lane again.
Kevin in the left hand watchin him go.
"Kevin, will your tires bite?"
"God I’d hoped so!"
My names Kevin, and it might be a sin, but I'll take that bet, you're gonna regret, cuz I'm faster than thats ever been!--losely quoted

So far so good huh.....that car looks to be very solid. that Wilson manifolds elbow is badass......I am assuming the turbo plumbing is going to go inside the car?? What are you going to run for intercoolers?? air to air....Air to water?
Kevin@W2W
12-09-2005, 07:12 AM
The car is really solid, not too much replacing at all besides the floor patches and the panel underneath the rear windo.
The intercooler system will consist of two air to water units and use a Precision Turbo elbow rather than the Wilson. All plumbing will remain under hood and our preliminary plans are pretty trick although the may change down stream a bit.

the only reason I asked if it was going to go inside is because it looked as though it would be the way the elbow was facing.....plans always change downstream....lol mine sure have anyway

Always have to allow for change. lol
Looking at the pics it makes sense to run through the firewall like some of the big drag cars but we want to keep everything stealthy so we will do something a little different. It is in theory right now but looks like it may work.

Kevin, Your product page states that the Rotrex C38-71 twin kit won't fit in an F-body. Being that the '68-'74 Novas front subframe are so similar to the '67-'69 F-body, how do you plan on shoehorning that gorgeous assembly in the Nova?

Dan, The F-body that poses a problem is the late model LS1 F-body. The hoodline will not clear the bracket.
Our dual kit is designed more for the engine swap crowd.

3. What are you going to do about the exhaust? are you going to dump it before the axle?

The tubes are reliefs patched into the floor for the exhaust considering the size and the low rid height intended for the car.

All I can say is wow. I saw the car in person at Pump Gas Drags on thursday and friday nights. When I first saw it on thursday I thought it pulled up in the wrong staging lanes. I just couldnt believe how quiet it was. You could not really hear the superchargers at all. That is an awesome car. I just found this thread and the car was very well built. Hats off to you guys at W2W. I was just blown away when I saw it run a 9 sec. pass so quietly. This is the ultimate sleeper in my opinion. Ive seen Kevin Thompsons sleeper cars in person but the paint is really what does it for the nova. Well that and the trailer hitch!
Thanks guys, glad you like our sleeper project.

That is so sweet. I can't believe that machine work on the bolt patterns and the mounting locations. Just beautiful, really. thanks
mike
It sixty foots bad right now, 1.50 was the best. The converter for the car broke on Tuesday night before we left, the only one I had here was 1,000rpm tighter which killed the launch. I am leaving the tighter converter in for Power tour because it drives good.
I think the radial tire is amazing for traction. I look forward to putting the looser converter in when we get back from Power tour.

SOOO WHAT SIZE TIRE IS IT??????1.50 AINT BAD .. YOU LEAVING OFF THE FOOT BRAKE I TAKE IT...SO WHEN YOU GET THE RIGHT CONVERTER AND LEAVE OFF THE TRANY BRAKE WITH THE C-16 AND FULL BOOST NO DOUBT IT WILL RUN AT LEAST A SECOND QUICKER AND EASILY 10-15 MPH FASTER..BUT THE TRICK IS WITH THE PUMP GAS...COULD YOU RUN A METH INJECTION KIT AT P.G.D.---NEVER MIND ABOUT THE TIRE SIZE THEY LOOK LIKE THE 325----HEY STOP SAND BAGGING WOULD YA...:naughty: REALLY THOUGH,THAT THING IS GONNA FLY ,IM SURE RICH HAS A "SPECIAL TUNE" IN THERE FOR YA...
I was leaving off the transbrake.
I wish it had another second in it, for now I will wish for a 8 second slip, although I may never get it.

What's the horsepower on that car?
I ran the engine before we put it in the car, it made 1160@7500 with 17psi at the flywheel.
I slowed the blowers down for the pgd, but I only ran it on a chassis dyno. It was in the 680hp range at around 7400rpm.
On that tune it ran
[email protected] on 93 octane fuel. We had the tune a little conservative to protect for the low octane fuel, but all signs show we could have been more aggresive.

I think it made close to 1200 on the engine dyno with 100 octane.

680 Horsepower at the rear wheels. And on 93 octane.
That's just the kind of stuff that gets my electical current flowing. I love it!
It made the 680 on a "93 safe" tune, but the 100 octane was still in the tank. We did not add the 93 until Comp cams parking lot in tech for the PGD, then we raced on the same tune.
