What are you all using with the Camaro DSE Frame and an LS/T56 set-up? I got one direction, but looking for more ideas before I commit.

I used Speed Tech crossmember on my first gen DSE frame. Lot of adjustability, fit well. I have used these in a stock first gen subframe as well with good results.

Scott,
How is the clearance between the crossmember and the header collectors?

Its was good on a stock subframe. I'm hoping to test fit the motor/trans/headers (stainless works) in the DSE subframe in the next week or 2. Waiting on some parts to button up the motor.

I have the DSE subframe and American Powertrain cross member. The engine should be going in this week. I'll keep you posted on how it fits.

I'm also using Speedtech's body mounts and headers.

I'm using the DSE 1" setback stands/mounts. I'm running C6 oil pan which requires the setback, which should also give a bit more room for header clearance. Will have pics in a week or 2. Looking forward to the pics with the speedtech headers referenced above.

I'm using the DSE set-back mounts as well. I need to use a first gen crossmember, but since it's going in a second gen, I'm real curious about the APT. I hear the first gen has floor pockets that the crossmember tucks in, which would be a problem for a 70-81.

The engine went in good with the DSE set back mounts, ATP Xmember and Speedtech headers. I'll try and get my shop to take some pictures for me to post. The set back on the mounts made the engine fit very close to the firewall but it did fit!

Would you remind me again if the car was a sec or first gen? Pictures would be awesome!

1968 Camaro. Here are the only pics I have at the moment. I'm away from my shop for a couple weeks but I'll try to get some better ones as soon as I can.

How does the steering shaft work out with the speed tech headers?

We haven't had a chance to mock it up yet but it looks like it should fit just fine.

Our F-body crossmember works great with DSE sub frame. Our aluminum crossmember is also adjustable so you can dial it in for setting your engine back. Low profile and light weight.

Hooker t56 crossmember. This crossmember would have been perfect if the top part of the arc wasn't soo high. Right now I'm cutting the hat off of each of them and tomorrow i will weld a plate underneath the arc instead of on top.
