I have a 1969 camar base 6 cylinder. And I want to know if I chop it because I always wanted a convertible. How can I chop it?

I think there is more required then just chopping it. The car needs to be reinforced properly one you blow its brains out, its not impossible but its going to require some skill and knowledge.

There is so much more than just chopping the roof off. There's substantial structure throughout the car you don't really see, different 1/4's, different inner sheetmetal, different floor bracing, I think even more metal in the rockers. The metal work alone would probably run you near the cost of a new reproduction body, which is what I would do in that case. All new steel, and ready to accept a convertible top. And I think it would be a shame to cut up a 69 Camaro coupe body, as desirable as they are.
