how do you clean wheels that have been plastidipped? I did my jeep rims in gunmetal with alot of glossifier. Brake dust really sticks to it bad. like to have never got them clean and really they could be cleaner. Any ideas?

I didn't click the link but yeah they have a specific primer to make it more permanent.
They have glossifier, pearlizer, metallic etc
They have like a new detailer that protects the plastic dip and make it have a smoother texture
allot of cool products out now

yeah this has an alloy pearl additive. it looks awesome. pretty cool way to switch up the color of your car. at ~$500 (including the gun) it's not a bad price

I'd like to see how clean it comes off?
Does it come off?
Or is it more of a permanent ... But less expensive way to spruce up a car?

it peels off without any damage to the paint. if you look on youtube they'll show you how they dip emblems w/o masking . It just separates cleaning at the seams where the emblem meets the paint.

I would do this to my car if I had the money! A co-worker/car buddy of mine has dipped his car in three different colors over the last year or so. Each one looks better than the last. The latest generation of colors are really looking great and the material is QUITE durable from what I have seen. I part next to him every day - it's hard to resist the urge to peel it though! LOL

I also did my hood, to see if I'd like the blacked out hood look. I don't think my Cutlass can pull it off as well as others can.

I'll be peeling the dip from the hood and roof, but re-doing the roof. I ran out of materials on the last heavy coat on the roof, you can see where the finish changes in the middle. Should look even better once I tint the windows!

Not sure what to think about it. The dip is not glossy or nice. Looks like something to "get you by" or for a race car that you want coverage but not chip or damage paint? Almost like a wrap, but not as cool with designs etc. What reasons why would you use this?

Well the trend right now is a satin finish, like it or not. Plasti-dip plays right into this market. Designs of a wrap are for advertising i think, so that is personal preference as I dont think a design-wrap is cool at all. Also, at about a 1/6th of the price of wrap when professionally done, it's a quick and easy way to change up the look of your car.

They have Glossifiers. I seen people do it on the cheap over dinged up body work & it looks like crap. Then I've seen it done nicely.

I guess it depends on how nice you car is to begin with. It's also good if you want to see how it would work with real paint with out the commitment. Just like Nick did on the Cutlass. I know people that have done wheels in Black.
