I'm building a Jeep 4.6L stroker motor for my old International truck. I have everything but a good AMC 258 crankshaft. My buddy has a crank that's like new EXCEPT he stripped 2 of the 6 bolt holes for the flywheel. Is this something that could be reliably fixed or should I just look elsewhere?

I see no reason the bad holes couldn't be drilled and tapped for the next bigger size. I don't know if heli-coils would be a recommended fix in this case.
Talk to an engine shop, if anyone would know they would. Let us know what you find out.

Any competent machine shop should be able to weld up the holes then drill and tap them back to standard size.
