Brake prices are all over the place. You can do the CPP kits cheap and they go up from there. The sky is the limit.
I see Corvette C6ZO6 guys upgrading brakes. They spend boatloads of money on Brembo parts when they already have what we consider to be really good brakes for our PT musclecars.
So why are they upgrading? The ZO6 kits were designed by GM to haul down Corvettes from probably 200mph without issues or fail. So what more do you want? I'm asking if there is really a noticeable difference between stock GM ZO6 calipers and the $8500 Brembo stuff and is it really worth paying the astronomical prices they command? That $8500 is just for front brakes too?? Why are Brembo brakes so expensive? Are they really that much better or is it just a status thing?
