18x11 on 2nd Gen Firebird

I love the look and proformance of a 18x12 rim but the work and coast I am not ready for! Ive seen some Firebird's run 17x11s with no mini tub. Has eanyone used an 18x11 with a 315/30 tire? I have no problem using a BFH on the seat belt bulge.

You may be able to get away with it if you nail the backspacing. You won't be able to get much of a tucked appearance and the early cars seem to have more room than the later Firebirds.
