Steve,

Thanks for the link and the heads up. I knew it was time for the challenge just did not know they were doing day by day recaps. The challenge is a pretty neat deal and is always interesting to see what some warped engine building minds can come up with. Thanks again!!

John,

It looks as if you have a bunch to cheer for after day four. Jon Kaase unleashed his Pontiac and has the highest average so far. Tough to beat knowledge and experience regardless of what he runs!!!

Yeah I was wondering the SAME thing! GO PONCHO POWER! I noticed that the lone Pontiac scored the highest out of any of the contenders today!

Well, I'm glad he's making a good go of it. This was supposed to be our year to shine. Maybe the other Pontiac entries decided to let the big man go for it and will enter next year. One thing's for sure, with the Mighty T/A standing the Hot Rod drags on their ear (he should be the winner, wheelie bars are NOT on a street car!!!) and Jon making a good showing in the Engine Master's contest, maybe the aftermarket will get a little more serious about the Pontiac V8.

I want repopped aluminum RA V's and I want them now!

It's great to see Kaase kicking ass with a traditional injun up against fords, chevy's etc. I like you am hoping the aftermarket notices the potential.

An Aluminum RAV would be fun!!!! I just loved seeing pictures of the heads of a RA V motor... the ports are HUGE!! There was tha RA V motor on eBay not too long ago.

He lost it by 2 points i belive and came in 4th due to a head gascet failier . nevertheless the domination of big block chevy and ford is over!!!! i had a minor discusion some time ago about pontiac finaly making a defenat comback on this forum and for the first time whe can build engines on afthermarket parts alone . big block performance with small block weight ... the tiger heads used are awesome and flow 400 cfm right out of the box . lets see what the near future will bring im sure the chevy crouwd will be surprized lolololol pzary 3233 love your 68 bird got one myself!!!.ps as usual forgive my spelling

Well, he lost it by 32.33 points, not 2. Anyway, it's nice to see something other than a Chevy or Ford, though I'm biased towards the Chevys.

you really can't go wrong with a traditional chevy or ford, I mean the aftermarkets are huge. It's good to see the pontiac was in the running. Kaase had the win on the first dyno pull scored 1290 but unfortunately as he stated he tuned with 94 octane instead of 91 and hurt the motor which caused the remaining pulls to degrade. his 509 poncho was making 650 ft lb of torque by 2500rpm. Some diesels don't do that!

all in all the poncho injun was/is a force to be recond with . most importend thing is that its a intermediate engine right inbetween the ssb/sbb in weight!!! witchs gives you big block performance, but no trouble brakeing and cornering in the streets ore track .a defenate advantage!!!!!!
