Didn't want to hijack Johns thread so this thread relates to what he's asking for on his transfer case. I've been pondering something along the same lines for my project, although purely cosmetic and non mechanical. I imagine the tolerances would be much lower if that helps at all, but these pieces are BIG. I imagine they would need to be machined from a big chunk of aluminum, maybe 12 x 6 x 8 inches, conservitively!! What I'd like to try to have made are right and left grill inserts for my 69 Firebird. They look like this.....

I don't think anybodies seen that image yet so don't tell anybody!! :secret:
Talk about a pipe dream and low production! I'm probably the only bonehead psychopath on the planet that would even contemplate having a set made, a paying the price! :screwy: :hammer:
I've wondered about emachine.com etc, but didn't know if I might have "friendlier" :help: :fingersx: options available. I'd also have to find someone to render the part into one of those fancy CNC compatible files, or perhaps I could learn to do it on my own?(read..I don't trust myself).
Am I completely off my rocker? I'm afraid I may have just qualified for the blissfully insane padded room and hugging himself guy of the year award!
I tried to get the images to display embeded in the message, but could only get the URL's to display. I tried both the Image tool and the Hyperlink tool? Whats the trick?
