auto to manual he

hello all. I have a 79 2nd gen trans am auto it as a 500+ hp buick 455 now 464 with a th400. I want to convert to a manual transmission what is the best transmission. rear gears are 3.42 I want to use the trans am for fast road and few trips up the strip.what do I need to covert I know i need pedal assembly many thanks kev

first thing you need to decide is if you want a 4 speed or overdrive tranny? post that up and I am sure you will get some great input.
