That truck makes me want big inch nascar wheels on my car. I had a thread where it was talked about in the wheels section. If anybody knows any info or has more pics please post it.

that is hard core. More cars should be built like this.
reminds me of a chop of a cyclone I did a while back

I can see more and more cars like this being built. Vansuuk's car is on that track sorta.

That truck is really cool, and you know I dig the cyclone and torino that you and buddha did.
The wheels are reasonably priced at any of the circle track sites, I will get a set eventually.

I like everything, I appreciate the blingy cars, but after awhile you want to see some mean cars. Its also easy to get the mean look on a budget, and I am so on a budget.
The aero wheels are cheap, or a can of rally wheels and black spray paint is even cheaper. If you dont like black wheels then gun metal or satin aluminum look good.
I even think the black wheels with the fake bead lock would look sick on the right car.

Do the NASCAR style steel wheels hold up better to the HP and G's, ie. Track Day??

I cant answer that, sure someone else will. I would think they take a beating.

The aluminum NASCAR style wheels stand up to track days and hold up to 1000 HP.

Doing all this new book research on the history of Chrysler racing has really got some brain cells going.Been toying with selling the Camaro to fund building a late 60's Charger like that truck and Cyclone. But a little less beautiful and a little more competition looking like this...

The NASCAR wheels are 15X9 I think a 2" offset and they are steel wheels. NASCAR don't allow light weight parts on the axles and hubs. You can buy lighter weight wheels but you gotta be careful they have a smaller safety bead. My experience with dirt track racing I prefer the steel wheels because the safety bead is bigger. I have seen cars get crossed up and break the tire off the bead and dig the wheel in and go flipping.

I have always prefered the race car inspired pro tourewr over the more street oriented ones. That truck just looks sooo killer! I bet it handles fantastic too!
So any more pictures??

The reason NASCAR mandates still wheels and a certain weight is due to the weight loads that are put on the RF when entering the corner with a 3600 lb race car. I have seen the center section of rims stay bolted on and the rest of the rim and tire break completely away and go flying off with the thinner walled steel rims. This is for a 5x5 pattern.

That truck was cool....saw it at des moines!
IMO needed more motor....like a nascar truck engine!
Pretty sure it's airbagged. When it was low I think the wheels were tilted way in, which would allow it to turn cruising the fairgrounds....

Just awesome!! I love that look.
I have toyed with the idea of Black steelies in the past, just like shiny rims better.
