I'm working on getting everything back together to determine how much drop I need in the rear (69 camaro multileaf). Now the question - would it be better to buy rear drop leafs (i.e. DSE) or just have my springs de-arched? If you think buying new drop leafs would be better - please explain. Thanks

I removed mine and had them DE-Arched for $60. I also replaced the bushings while I had them out. Absolutely no complaints and I think I nailed the stance perfectly. Most good shops wont have a problem de-arching them a couple times to help you dial in the stance. Keep in mind they will settle within 50-100 miles

I dearched the Original laefs in mine and they were too old. They began to sag about 3 mionths later. I have Hotchkis drop leafs now. I guess the advice is if they are original or really old, buy new. If they are still in good shape, dearch 'em.

I agree, but would still lean toward new leafs as the way DSE, Hotchkis and GW leafs are built will help reduce wheel hop over a stock leaf in good condition.

So far I have never had a single problem with wheel hop and I have a spool. Not trying to argue just dont want anyone getting the wrong impressing.
I have beat the heck out of the car too since the leaf De-arching and still no problems. You can see videos of my car in action on my site.
I am all about budget otherwise I would go with DSE HOtchkis or the other suspension professionals.
