https://www.pro-touring.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=103784&stc=1https://www.pro-touring.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=103783&stc=1I was wondering if anybody knows of anyplace that sells bullet type "power" side mirrors that look like the mid 70's firebirds? I am building a 68 firebird ragtop and I'm having trouble finding a power mirror in that shape. Any help would be greatly appreciated. included are a couple of pics of my car, 1968 Roadstershop 4 wheel indepent suspension chassis, lsa/Lingenfelter motor.Steve

Closest I can think of is the 70-72 Chevelle (LeMans/GTO/Cutlass/Skylark were similar too) sport/bullet mirrors. The top of the door is similar to your Firebird, but not sure how close. But they aren't power though, sorry.

You could get some Olds Aurora Mirrors and machine the Stalks down & to your door contour

Thanks Guys for the input! You would think it would be a simple request to get a bullet style power mirror with all the resto-mods and pro touring cars being built. I think I'm just gonna put 77 trans am mirrors and do without the power.waaaah waaaah :) Steve

Steve,
Good choice on the mirrors. At least the driver's mirror will have a manual remote adjuster. :)
Great looking project! Nice color and choice of wheels.
Keep it up!

Thanks Tony...I haven't had to do much as the car is at RAMC in Lincoln. The actual wheels that are going on the car are being made now, they will be a stock rally type look in 18 x11 rear and 18 x 10 front. I have restored a few cars myself in the past but this is the first where someone else has done all the hands on. I will say I am having fun having someone else create my visions. Their work is top notch. I am trying to keep a stock look but with all the H.P. and modern touches of a new sports car. I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas day so I can drive this thing. Hopefully I can get a few burnouts in before winter . LOL
I've been wanting to test a newer power mirror head inside a second gen bullet mirror! Surprised no one is making a retrofit power bullet mirror.
