This is my first car that I purchased back in 97 and I've had it ever since. It was my daily driver while living on gravel roads and then sat for 4 years while I did the military thing. Once I was done with that part of my life and purchased my own place and had time to devote to the car the poor thing had so much rust it wasn't all that safe to drive. It sat in the back of my shop for the last 8 years till I had some time and money to devote to it. This car will be a pretty slow build. I have a number of other projects that are in a partial build and will finish them first, but now that the body had a complete frame off and the car is no longer eating itself from all the rust I'm in no real rush. I just figured I would throw some pictures up of the progress so far and a few pictures. I would love to find some older pictures of when I first got the car but I have no idea where I placed them.
This is what the car looked liked before the tear down. 240k miles on the body of this old girl. You can see some of the rust in the rear quarters.

I didnt realize how much the rust had eaten till I started tearing the body apart. The inside and outside rocker had rusted away and had to tear most of the rear quarter off.

I thought this was neat. This is the chunk of metal the goes down from the trunk floor to the bottom of the rear quarter. I wonder if the other G-Bodys do the same thing. Not sure what the 47 is about but neat that it says Olds.

Once the rear quarters and rockers got fixed this is how I had it in the air to clean the under side and fix all the body mounts. All but 1 of the body mounts had to be fixed.

This was test fitting the body back onto the frame. I did a few changes to the frame and wanted to make sure it was going to play nice with the body. As luck would have it , they didnt and I had to change a few things.
