Well today me and my dad measured it and we go 2 inches so it's a my bad, we thought we had 4 inches because we bought 2 inch drop leaf spring and put 2 inch blocks, but I think that the spring are not 2 inch drop
Yep...2" sounds more feasible. We used a 2" drop leafspring from Eaton Spring on my 69 Z28, and our RideTech tall dropped spindle in the front with a 1" extended spring from Eaton...car sits perfect and rides and handles really nice. We also built delrin bushings for the OEM control arms, installed a larger front swaybar, and installed a set of our rebound adjustable smoothbody shocks. It's proven to be a great package for the guy who doesn't want to molest an original car [like me] or for the guy who wants a gentlemans cruiser without spending $5k to get there. With a 15" tire, my Z wont corner like the 48 HR Camaro, but it is darn acceptable for a street cruiser. I was looking to improve the car as much as possible without changing the "civilian" look of the original Z28. I am truly pleased with the results. I'll post some pictures of the car soon.
We've been considering putting this package together to sell as a complete system. I don't know exactly what it would cost but certainly somwhere under $2k for the front and rear springs, front spindles, front swaybar, delrin bushings, and adjustable shocks. Think there would be any interest?
In the meantime...the answer to your original question...fixed valve shocks would run $125/each, single adjustable shocks - $175/each.
