I've read a lot about using swing out door bars on a roll bar or cage but I've seen other cars do it by bending the bar, like this:

This setup looks a lot more convenient than even a swing out but I understand that 1)it connects to the main hoop too low and 2)the bent bar is weaker than a straight one.
Which has me wondering, if this kind of thing could be done with better triangulation? If it's possible to build an accessible, fixed door bar that is still safe and accessible? A setup that keeps the bars triangulated without getting in the way of the seat too much? Would something like either of these arrangements work?

If not, why not? Could some variation of these work instead?
