I have had the car since I was 18. When I was at WyoTech in 2005 I tore it down, squared the stub frame and welded it more solid, removed the rear frame rails and built 2x3 rec tubing rails from the sub frame back and inset them in the floor 1/4" and put the cross members in places where the floor had rises so factory carpet would fit. I also made my own wheel tubs, four link bars and brackets, and was able to narrow a nine inch all as class projects. It has sat in a semi trailer till now. I wanted something a little more exotic but I just came across a 2001 Camaro SS 6 speed with 88,xxx for $3000.

I actually own a small body shop but sublet out the mechanical stuff cause I am so busy so some of this will be new to me. I want a good driving, factory looking/reliable daily driver. It doesn't need to be a race car or show car but very nice and all new. A/C, cruise control, power windows ect will be necessary. https://www.facebook.com/JjsRestoration

I also plan to do some things I normally don't do to customers cars as an experiment, like quarter skins instead of full quarters and the cheap tubular control arms from ebay.

ANY help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Welcome Jared,
The members here are a great bunch of people. Always willing to help out. IMO, I would pass on cheap ebay control arms and look at Ridetech instead.

Yea me too but I get asked about them all the time.I figured I'd try a set but put better ball joints in them and see so I can have some first hand evidence good or bad to pass along... anything iffy like that I'd rather try myself first hand
