Had ideas, thoughts, even plans laid down,,,,,but no title and looked like serious issue.
SO went back to my buddys who gave me the 1984 Caprice 2dr, and talked about a few other cars they have. They were trying to push me towards 79 Impala Sports Roof but the darned thing had missing rear window trim, heater box was all open, hood hadnt been on it in while.
Car also had more body rust than I was ready to deal with.
SO , drum roll, I made deal on a 1966 Chevy Caprice 4 dr. It has later model sbc which Ill probably use in my truck till I get its old engine fixed, and slap BBC 454 in the Caprice.
But I need a vision and some more ideas. Still want it too handle, still want it to be drivable.
I know for now it will have 15s but later on 17s or 18s.
Probably go for fast ratio box, still do Corvette big brakes, big thing is what wheels will fit and how far I take this car.
And a reason for being interested in 4 dr is I am trying to see where a relation might form with lady in church and she has 2 kids, so 4 dr might be little better fit.
AND putting in a roll bar for a harness wont interfere with back seat room.
So now I am looking for 66 parts but at least there are much more parts for a 66 Caprice/Impala.
So now need an name/idea for this project.
Any ideas?
