Hey guys its been a while. I need some new wheel dew to unforeseen circumstances and just was curious what I can get away with the on the rears.

I have ford 9" on the back that is built to the stock camaro reared specs as well.

So in short I was wondering what backspacing I could run on the rear
I have read 5.5, 5.75 and 6.75.
then for ultimate tuck fitment I read 5.35!

the rear tires will be

Nitto 555r 275/40/18 since I already have 3!

I have rolled fenders... terribly and will do body work in a few years probably. The car won't be tubbed

and I will run a 18x8 up front.

ps. anybody wants to chime in on the back spacing on the fronts feel free ;)

The wheels while be mounted on the Kore3 brake kits as well. the car has a 1.5" Hotchkis drop as well! any help would be much appreciated and could possible clear up all the backspacing different answers found on google if the same inquire is entered! Thanks!

I have a non mini tubbed 68 with a 9" and rolled fenders. Unfortunately my Hotchkis leaf springs snapped in half so I no longer half leafs. I ran a 20x10 with a 5&3/4 backspacing. I used both a 285/30/20 (27" tall) and a 295/25/20 (25.8" tall) tire. Zero rub. My car is quite low so fitment was critical. Every car is different so measuring is probably your best route. You might want 5.5 depending on your 3rd member positioning.

I run a 17x9.5 rim with 5.5 backspace and 275/40/17 tires

I'm running an ET15 BMW wheel on my car which is roughly 5.8" backspacing. It tucks just a little more than 5.75 but has no clearance problems for me with 275/35-18's on my 68.

SO basically between 5.35 and 5.75 is what i can get away with but i need to measure a bit first! Thanks a million guys
