As the journey continues towards Fort Worth, Texas, Hot Rod Magazine has been posting daily updates of the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association’s 2014 Hall of Fame Road Tour. The tour, which includes vehicles pre-’72, included several pro-touring built cars. The journey started at Goodguys Headquarters in Pleasanton, California and will end this week in Fort Worth, Texas for the Goodguys 22nd Lone Star Nationals.

While flipping through Hot Rod Magazine’s coverage of the event there were a couple pro-touring vehicles that we recognized including a particular ’67 Camaro built by Mark Stielow. Charlie Lillard had joined the tour with the ’67 Camaro along with several other noteworthy drivers including Troy Trepanier and Dave Lane.

There have been many stops along the way including Lucky 7 Speed Shop, Ely Nevada where the Silver State Challenge is held, Bonneville Salt Flats and some amazing country roads. If Power Tour is not in your budget or if it’s just too far away, this is definitely another Road Tour to consider in the future.

Leading up to Goodguys Texas, there has been a lot of social media activity while drivers get their cars ready for the event.

Russell Wells shared a photo with us on Facebook of his 1969 Pontiac GTO that will be attending the Goodguys Texas Event. The car was featured in Popular Hot Rodding Magazine and is absolutely beautiful. If any of our pro-touring members see him out next weekend, make sure to go check out his car and say hi.

The autocross track is also one of the key Goodguys Texas highlights. The track is typically one of the biggest tracks of the year and fast.

We look forward to seeing our pro-touring members out there next week. Feel free to share you photos and videos with us from the Goodguys Texas event on Facebook or right here on the forum.
